Assets within EarthScan

Discover what assets are and how to view them in EarthScan™

After reading this article, you will learn:

What is an asset?

Assets are existing physical entities with a fixed, continuous geographic boundary and some tangible measure of value that can be exposed to physical risk, such as office buildings, factories and powerplants.

How do assets appear in EarthScan?

In EarthScan, assets are represented on the EarthScan map as point data.

Assets can appear as a pin pointer icon (purple POI icon below) or pre-mapped polygonal shapes of a building (highlighted in orange below) .

For pre-mapped assets, metrics and insights are generated based on the central latitude and longitude point of the asset footprint.
